1964 Ford Mustang
The Mustang first appeared April 17, 1964 at the World's Fair. It was advertised as having the "styling and features of expensive European road cars combined with an American mass-production price." 1964 Mustangs were assembled before the August 1964 ford plant retooling shutdown. The retooling included changes in engines, alternator, and trim as well as the 1965 introduction of the fastback.
